Bennie Bruce Thomas born October 2, 1962 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Ola Mae Thomas and Tommy C. Daniel. On Saturday March 2, 2022, God embraced Bennie into his loving arms and rewarded him a peaceful rest.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by, his one and only sister Cynthia Jean Thomas Dillard and his maternal , Thelma Thomas and Jimmel Thomas; and his beloved Auntie Katie Mae Thomas; his uncle Bobby Wade, Jr.; and his beloved great grandmother Sally Mattie Battle Wade that raised him.
Bennie Bruce was a great father and grandfather that rededicated his life to God. He began his new walk with Christ where he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hatchechubbee, Alabama. He was a graduate of Mt. Olive High School where he was a great athletic in all sports. He was a great fisherman, something that he really loved.He worked at Southern Phenix for over 25 years in Phenix City, Alabama.
Bennie Bruce leaves behind his wife of 40 years Martha Thomas of Columbus, Georgia; his beautiful daughter Taval Thomas of Columbus, Georgia; three grandchildren Vic'trez Thomas, V'Asja Thomas, and Car'Lisah Mathis all of Columbus, Georgia; one niece Stacey Dillard; two nephews, Isaac Dillard Jr. and Travis Dillard of Tuskegee, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
