Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Battle & Battle Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

Mrs. Charsie Mae Slade entered this life on September 23, 1944 to the union of the late Lewis Charles and Rosie "Lessie" Williams.  She departed this life on Monday, September 23,2024 at 80 years of age at St. Francis Hospital.

Charsie accepted Christ at an early age at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama.  She had several different jobs over the years and retired from The Marriott Hotel in Columbus, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Charles Williams and Rosie "Lessie" Williams; two sisters, Frances V. Long and Ruby L. Barber; two brothers-in-law; four nieces; two nephews; and one great nephew.

Charsie leaves to cherish her memory three brothers, Elder Milton Williams, Lewis "Charlie" (Glora) Williams and John (Thyra) Williams; four nieces; three nephews; several great nieces and nephews; a host of great-great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and loved ones.
