Christine P. Gosha, a child of the most high God, was born on June 25, 1935 to the late Gladys Dozier and Willie Wilson in the beautiful city of Columbus, Georgia.
As she matriculated through school and her youthful years, she understood and accepted that this world would not be her eternal home and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Furthermore, she became a dedicated and faithful member of the Greater Beallwood Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia to help nurture her relationship with Jesus Christ. Humbly, she began her service in the church as an usher alongside her mother. She also served as a member of the General Mission Board. Most notably, she expressed her worship through singing in the church's choir for over sixty years.
Professionally, she was employed with Jordan Mill where she worked diligently for several years. She then began employment with Southern Phenix where she retired from dedicated work for over thirty years of service.
On April 1, 1951, Christine Gosha was united in holy matrimony and married the love of her life, William Gosha Sr.
Mrs. Christine had a love for cooking grand meals and feeding her family, friends, and everyone else. She also had a passion for playing bingo, singing, sitting on the porch, and listening to gospel music. Ultimately, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
On the evening of Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Christine Gosha traded in her cross for her crown and transitioned from labor to her eternal resting place surrounded by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Gladys Doziers and Willie Wilson; her husband, William Gosha Sr.; her sister, Betty Jean Reese Duren; her grandchild, Krystle Nicole Gosha; and her niece, Shelia McCray.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters, Cheryl Cochran of Elkmont, Alabama; Tawaynne (Robert) Pass of Phenix City, Alabama; and Sonja (Cleveland) Newsome of Syracuse, New York; five sons, William (Tronual) Gosha II, Jeffery Gosha, Daryl Gosha, Dwayne (Quinitina) Gosha, and Thaddeus Gosha, all of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Joyce Gosha of Columbus, Georgia; and a wide range of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives along with friends.
