Clara Ann Sanks, affectionately known as "Doll" graced this life with her presence on March 28, 1952 in Fort Mitchell, Alabama to the late Flora Lee Lawrence.  She departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

Doll accepted Christ at a young age, was baptized and joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.  She  was educated in the schools of Russell County, Alabama.  She was employed with and retired from the Columbus Housing Authority.   She loved to cook, bake and take care of children and others tirelessly.

In addition to her mother, Doll was preceded in death by two daughters, Ann Sanks and Linda Sanks; and a sister Alice Lewis.

Doll leaves to cherish her memory a son Clarence Sanks; and a daughter Betty Walton, both of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren, Corinthius Sanks, Tywon Walton, Andrea Murrill, and Tyrese Sanks; two great grandchildren, Major McFarlane and Kaisen Powell; a sister Helen Woods; two  brothers, Willie (Barbara) Lawrence and Earnest Lawrence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loved ones.
