Momma was a sweet, kindhearted person who never really met a stranger. Her warm smile and calming presence always welcomed anyone into conversation , and as a result led to relationships with lifelong friend s . She had a great love for flowers and plants. She took great pride in growing her own vegetable and flower gardens . Her greatest love, however, was that of her children , and children in general . Momma n ot only rear ed her own children and help raise her grandchildren, nieces & nephews , but she was also a " mother " to the community , providing everything from encouragement to correction . It was this legacy of maternal love and caring that led her to start 'Clara's Daycare.' Though it was a business, Mom "m o thered" more than 20 children with the same love, care, and compassion as she did her own. T hey never forgot her and often visited her, and to this day still affectionally call her "Momma Clara."
M omma made her eternal transition to be with the Lord on May 23, 2021 .
