Clarence Blackmon,
Sr.
August 5, 1949 – November 7, 2022
Mr. Clarence Blackmon, Sr. was born to the late Coatney and Wanda Lee Blackmon, Sr. on August 5, 1949 in Hatchechubbee, Alabama.
He departed this life for his heavenly home on Monday, November 7, 2022 at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved brother Coatney Blackmon, Jr.
Clarence touched the lives of so many people, both young and old with his pure heart. He was fueled by an outgoing, friendly personality with loads of energy.
After he completed high school, he was drafted into the United States Army with an honorable discharge on August 1, 1975. A few years later, he moved to Atlanta to pursue his trucking career which lasted forty-five years at nexAirwhere he retired in 2017.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his beloved and devoted wife and long-time caregiver, Mrs. Beverly Blackmon of Atlanta, Georgia; three daughters, Gretchen (Danny) Richardson of Haines City, Florida, Kimberly Blackmon, and Ashley Blackmon; one beloved son Clarence Blackmon, Jr.; six loving grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Blackmon of Cincinnati, Ohio and Edward (Shirlene) Blackmon of Montgomery, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
