Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Curtis Thompson, Jr. was born July 3, 1937 to the late Curtis, Sr. and Claudia Mae Thompson in Lee County, Alabama.  He departed this life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his residence.

Curtis accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama.  He was educated in the schools of Lee County, Alabama and then joined the United States Army.  He later was employed with Columbus Carpet Mill as a truck driver and retired after twenty-five years of service.

Curtis loved to socialize and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Curtis, Sr. and Claudia Mae Thompson, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Thompson and his brother, Arthur Thompson.

Left to cherish Curtis's memory are his loving and devoted daughter, Faye Willette Piett; three grandchildren, Dominique, Fanthnecia and Jaylon; eight great-grandchildren; a devoted and loving cousin, Yvonne Stroud; one sister-in-law, Mary Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
