Mr. Freddie James Ezell was born to the late Lonnie J. Ezell and Rebecca Ezell Evans on November 5, 1960 in Columbus, Georgia.  He departed this life on  Monday, January 9, 2023 at Piedmont Hospital in  Columbus, Georgia.

Freddie was a graduate of Chavala High School in Seale, Alabama.  He was employed with the Walmart Distribution Center in Opelika, Alabama.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Tasha Ezell, Atlanta, GA and Shawna Simmons, Birmingham, AL; one granddaughter Jacqueline Simmons; one great granddaughter Alivia Madison; a loving and devoted companion Sherlene Sparks; one brother John (Patricia) Ezell; four sisters, Wanda (Joseph) Thomas, Wannetta (George) Golden, all of Phenix City, AL, Sharon (Cosmos) Akuta, Ijamsville, MD and Sandra (Willie) Puckett, Seale, AL; a devoted nephew LaBrandon Fortson; five aunts, Lucille Ezell, Mary Colvin, Cascilla Feagins, Deborah (Roger) Hensley and Gloria Morris; two uncles Johnny (Nellie) Morris, Jr. and Eddie Morris along with a host of nieces, nephews whom he loved dearly along with other relative and friends.
