Obituary

Funeral Services will be held 12 noon EDT Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 6:09 pm at the funeral home.

Sister Gennie B. Hoskins was born February 7, 1957 in Russell County, Alabama to the late John R. and Bertha L. Hoskins.

She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Rosie P. Woods, Charlie Hoskins, Willie J. Hoskins and Bryce Hoskins.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband of forty years Daniel Tarver; loving sons, Eric Hoskins of Seale, Alabama, Anthony (Dimetra) Hoskins of Phenix City, Alabama, and Bryan (Jasmine) Hoskins of Columbus, Georgia; loving   sisters, Adell Hoskins, Lisa Hoskins and Bertha Hoskins, all of Seale, Alabama, Betty Woods of   Phenix City, Alabama; a special aunt Mammie Capers of Albany, Georgia; loving brothers, John (Viola) Hoskins and Moses Hoskins, both of Phenix City, Alabama; devoted granddaughters, Quanizia, Branija, Syonna, Braniah, Seqonya, Za'mya and Ja'Meamiya; devoted grandsons, Bryan Jr., Kentavious, Cayden, Haiden, Javon, Braylen and Braden; two brothers-in-law, George Tarver and WC Tarver, both of Phenix City, Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Faniel and Geraldine Tarver, both of Phenix City, Alabama; sixteen step grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones.
