Mrs. Henri Faye Davidson was one of a kind lady. A woman of class, style, uniqueness and wisdom for all, Mrs. Henri Faye Henderson Davidson was born January 29, 1952 in Patlaka, Florida to the late Roosevelt & Kynette Henderson. She was the youngest of two children born to that union. She departed this life on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
Henri Faye was united in holy matrimony to Charles Deryl Davidson on July 13, 1980, They were married for over 20 years until his death in 2001. Henri received her early education from Central Academy in Palatka, Florida. She continued her education graduating from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her professional career working at Valdosta State University. After marrying, she worked at Tuskegee University as the Public Information Director in 1979 until the early 80's. She quickly begin working in the family historical business D & D Janitorial Services founded by then her father-in-law CD Davidson. While in this career, she quickly loved and always enjoyed a passion for entrepreneurship and flowers. She spent time working closely with her mother with distribution business leather leaf fern greenery business in Florida, Georgia, & Alabama. After working successfully, she moved to following her calling to helping and meeting people where they were. She begin her career with Twin Cedars Youth Services where she worked with at risk youth and teen mothers until retiring in 2015. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member at 4

Street Missionary Baptist Church. Her passion was working and advocating for children in foster care in Georgia with supporting law changes and exploring opportunities for children in the state of Georgia with Empowerment Program. With her work in this space, she received several recognitions for her program excellence in the state of Georgia. She served on numerous boards and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She loved traveling and going to the beach. Her favorite things were projects like refurbishing furniture, gardening, dancing, cleaning, painting and celebrating special moments. She was one who cherished family and friends. She believed in loyalty and support and in her own words "keeping it real." She was one that was rare and bold. She was a mother to so many as she always had a willing spirit to do right by others and provide sharing her own life lessons as wisdom to others on their own journey of life. She believed in enjoying life to the fullest with no regrets. She was one that her presence was positive and bright when she would come into the room. She was the same no matter who you were and she treasured being one who was a straight shooter. She stood tall on her own and one can never say they weren't sure of her stance. She had humor and charisma that anyone that knew her felt anytime they were in her presence.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Lauren Ashley Davidson Chambers (Steven I. Chambers); her special pride and joy one granddaughter Miss Ellie Elizabeth-Grace Chambers; her sister Wonda L. Henderson; three sisters-in-law, Carla Long (Willie), Carmen Samuels (Manis), and Mae Browning (Gregory); one brother-in-law Damian Davidson; two aunts, Gloria L. Battle and Louella K. Battle; cousins Gayle Ligon (Bruce), Casaundra Ross (Joe), and Wendell Threadgill (Beverly); special Sister-Friends, Carolyn Battle, Kapitola Williams, Mirchelle Plummer, Tammy Jackson, Dana Richardson, Yvette Richardson, Katie Harris, Edna McDonald, Sharonda Porter, Mary Gamble, Lashonda Bryan, and Curlie Brownlow; Prayer Partners Circle, Alice Cunningham, Sharon Billings, Tiffany McBride, Tenetta Holt, and Gwen Ruff; and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and adopted children and the many lives she impacted. As she was loved, so will she be missed.
