Herman Golden (Skip) was born August 12,1951 in Russel County, Alabama. The son of Ossie Lee Golden Johnson. He was reared and educated in the Russell County Alabama School System.

He confessed to Christ in 1968 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell,Alabama. He moved to Indianapolis, IN in 1969 where he worked at Link Belt/GM(5-6 years) manager at 7-11( for over 20 years) and several Churches Chicken locations before retiring 2020.

He was a very kind, humble successful man. He married Patricia A. Summers, August 17, 1996 and was a member of Travelers Rest MBC, he loved spending time with his family all kinds of sports.

He has 3 sisters, (Lillie Mae Spivey, Ann Golden, Leola "Pam" Johnson, 1 brother, Joe Johnson (Claudette)Preceding him in death are his mother, Ossie Lee Golden Johnson;  brothers, WC Alexander (Mary), Willie James Johnson & 1 sister, Ernestine Williams.

To cherish his memory and to mourn his passing other than his wife, Patricia A. Golden, he leaves behind 5 children LaShawn, Daria (Dennis), Cheri, DeJuane & William. 13 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren, 5 brother-in-laws, 5 sister-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends that stretch from coast to coast.
