Memorial Service will be held 12:30 pm EDT Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Gaines Chapel AME Church.

Ms. Jacquelyn Michelle Reed graced this life with her presence on November 13, 1967 to the late Otis Reed, Sr. and Evelena Upshaw Reed in Russell County, Alabama.  On May 13, 2026, God spoke to His child and called her home to her eternal reward, gently and quietly saying "Come to me."

Having a strong belief in God, Jacquelyn accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church where she faithfully attended Sunday School.  She was educated in the Phenix City School System and a 1986 graduate of Central High School.  Jacquelyn enjoyed reading, writing, drawing and listening to music.  She was a childcare provider for various daycares.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Reed Wright and Linda Reed Whitehead.

Jacquelyn leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Reverend Mary Ingram of Columbus, GA and Gloria Reed Hill of Phenix City, AL; four brothers, Otis Reed, Jr. and Lonnie Reed of McDonough, GA and Ronnie Reed and Michael Edward Reed of Phenix City, AL; an adopted son (nephew) Bernard Brown of Sacramento, California; an uncle James Peterson of Milwaukee, WI and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
