M r. James Speights was born December 21, 1950 in Pittsview, Alabama to the late James Speights and Johnnie Bell Speights.  He departed this life on Saturday,  August 7, 2021 at his residence.

James was educated in the Russell County School System and graduated from Oliver High School.  He retired from the WC Bradley Co. and later worked at Peachtree Mall.

He was an avid sports fan, loved gardening and traveling with his wife.

James leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Mrs. Bertha Speights; one daughter Felicia  Myers; one granddaughter Ayana Turner; one grandson Dartanga Foster; two great grandsons, Moses Turner and Emmanuel Turner; eight step-children, Curly Person (Irene), Kenneth Person (Debra), Cheyenne Person, Donald Person, Lora  Leonard, Ricky Wood (Annie), Debbie King, Vincent Wood (Tylenna); twelve step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
