Mr. James "44" Dixon, Sr. was born September 8, 1941 to the late Theo and Estella Dixon in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.  He departed this life on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

James accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and united with Bethlehem Crossroad Baptist Church where he served as an usher.

James was united in Holy Matrimony with Polly Ree Dixon on December 23, 1960 in Phenix City, Alabama and this union was blessed with four children.

In his leisure time, "44" enjoyed dancing, walking and talking with others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Annette Dixon; three brothers, Richard Dixon, Arthur Dixon and Otis Dixon; and a sister Jannette Dixon.

James leaves to cherish his memory his children, Doris Alexander (George) of Phenix City, Alabama, James Dixon, Jr. (Mary) of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, and Catherine Dixon (Allen) of    Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Kristen Kimber, Tanya Martin (Greg), Kyle Kimber, Byron Dixon (Shannon), Zakereya Feaggins, Dennis Trotman (Ronica), Lavern Landor (Andres), Latonya Swinnie (Johnnie), Irene Miles (Richard), and Carrie Trotman; one brother Tommy Dixon (Mary) of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; one sister-in-law Lucy Sanks of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; and a host of great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
