Mr. James Clifford Walton was born in  Phenix City, Alabama on February 12, 1947 to the late Jimmie and Viola Epps. James transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in Phenix City, AL in the comfort of his home.

He was preceded in death by his brother Patrick Walton and sisters Bertha Epps and Jeanetta Walton.

He accepted Christ into his life as his Savior and Lord at a young age. He continued to keep Christ as the head as he journeyed through life even to his final days thanking God for all that he had done for him. He was a member of Redeeming Love Church, Atlanta, GA. He was a friend to many and loved deeply by his family.

To cherish his memory, James leaves three sisters, Priscilla  Walton, Donna Moore, and Monique (Larry) Lewis of Columbus, GA; one brother, Rickey (Cheryl) Epps of Phenix City, AL; two aunts, Lenora (Caleb) Hinton and Betty (William) Alexander of Columbus, GA, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and beloved friends.
