Mr. Jimmie "Grey Beard" Samuel, was born June 23, 1944 in Russell County, Alabama to the late Glen and Katie Samuel.  He departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, O'Quita Samuel, Bridgett (William) Harrison, Jamilah Jakes and LeQuita Jakes, all of Phenix City, Alabama; one son Jakari (Tedra) Houston of Macon, Georgia; twenty-two grandchildren, Daniya, Angelique, Brandis, Dameshia, Treonia, Trenton, Terrell, Malcolm, Kiewan, Tamya, Jakira, Malik, Ky'Leigh, Jakiya, De'Quaveion, Keiondre, William, Cortez, Gabreon, Gabriella, Messiah, and Troyvon; eleven great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin Charles Davis and a devoted friend Kenya Conley; and a host of other family and loved ones.
