Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the chapel of Battle and Battle funeral home. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

Mr. Joseph Jessie was born October 21, 1947 in Pittsview, Alabama to the late Floree Jessie.  He departed this life for his eternal reward on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his home in Columbus, Georgia.

Joseph was preceded in death by his older brother David Jessie.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory a son Demetrius Jessie of Columbus, Georgia; two brothers, Danny Jessie and Willie Grier both of Columbus, Georgia; one sister Alice Grier Sanks of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister-in-law Cynthia Jackson of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
