Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM EDT Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Edmonds Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Melvin "Jerry" Brewer was born October 2,1962, to his late parents John and Hattie Mae Brewer from Seale, Alabama. He transitioned from this earthly life-to-life eternal on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his resident in Phenix City, AL. He was 63 years of age. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Lieutenant Brewer and Sylvester Brewer.

Jerry was an alumni of Chavala High School in Seale, AL. He was a long-time employee of the Merchant Sealift Command. Jerry was a loving father, an adoring grandfather, and a protective big brother. Jerry had two favorite teams, he rooted for Alabama during college football season and for the Atlanta Falcons during the NFL season. He was a true football fan and was going to talk some noise about his teams whether they were winning or losing. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family, andhe was going to wear his jewelry!

Survivors include his sons, LaMarkus Mott (Brittany),  Antonio Mott (Jonmekia) and Michael Brewer (DeShaura), and a daughter, Kelisha "Quay" Mott , Children's mother(Angela Brewer) ; five grand kids; ZaMariah Edwards, Braedyn Mott, Ameri Mott, Aubree Mott and Siana Brewer ; Three Sisters, Latricia Johnson, Hattie Thomas (Jerry), and Tara Brewer and one brother Lamont Brewer; aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends are left to cherish his memory.
