Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm EDT Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

There will not be a public viewing.

Jimmie Lee Coleman, Jr. “Jimbo” was born to Jimmy Lee Coleman, Sr. and Hattie Pearl Vaughn-Coleman, March 15, 1948, in Marvyn, Alabama. Jimmie departed this life on July 1, 2026 at his home in Seale Alabama.

Jimbo accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Elizabeth Baptist Church. He later rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized at Good Hope Missionary Baptist under Pastor Samuel Grimes, Jr. He was married to Princella Holt-Coleman and they resided in Seale, Alabama. Together they raised their children and grandchildren. Jimmie worked with the Russell County Commission and retired in 2010.

In addition to his parents, Jimbo is preceded in death by his wife Princella Holt-Coleman; son Harry Barnett; daughters, Elizabeth Barnett and Barbara Holt; granddaughter Felicia Holt; grandson Princeton Kelly; great granddaughter Jasmine Malani Huguley; sister Ora B. Coleman; brothers, Arthur Lee Coleman and Phillip Coleman.

Jimbo leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tywanda Wallace (Reginald) of Seale, AL, Jimmie Barnett (Gloria) of Mt. Dora, FL, Mary Griffin (Tony) of Seale, AL, Larry Holt (Evon) of Ft. Mitchell, AL, and Jacqueline Mitchell (Robert) of Smith Station, AL; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; sister Elnora Nickerson of Cleveland, OH; brothers, Freddie Coleman of Crawford, AL and Zack Coleman of Syracuse, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
