Graveside Service will be held 12:30 PM Friday, July 25, 2025 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

MSGT (Ret) Willie Leon Daniel, affectionately known as "June Bug", was born November 16, 1944 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Richard Lee and Annie Lou Daniel.  He departed this life for his eternal reward on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

After graduating from South Girard High School, Willie spent thirty-two years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant.  In 2010, Willie met and fell in love with Nina Nichole Smith.  They were wed on August 28, 2015.

Willie was a family man who loved his Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Road House and was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 267, Cusseta Road, Columbus, GA.

Other than his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his sister, Prince Ann Brown and brother, Thomas Robinson.

Left to cherish Willie's memory are his devoted and loving wife, Nina Daniel; sons, Joseph, Rickey, Jaylen and Chosen; daughters, Marissa and Jaliyah; grandson, Jyquon; a dear friend, King Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts.
