Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, 12 noon at Bethel AME Church. Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Ms Nancy Spivery was born February 8, 1934 to the late Robert and Lillie Spivery in Phenix City, Alabama.

Nancy confessed her faith in God and united with the Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she served on the Usher Board until her health declined.

Nancy worked at Scientific Laundry and Dry Cleaners and retired from Southern Phenix Textile.

Nancy was affectionally known as Cat and Cat Baby and loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her only son, Billy Gene Spivery; Siblings: Alice Huey, Gladys Harper, Robert (Mike) Spivery, Willie Mae James, Lille Mae Lewis, Bessie M. Jacobs, Johnnie Spivery, Jennie V. Moffett, Edward Gene Spivery, Bobby Spivery, Queenie Deloney and John Henry Spivery.

Nancy departed this life peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted caregiver and great niece, Towanna Lewis and her daughter, Comora of Phenix City, AL; grandsons:  Carlton Spivery (Lateisha) and Cedrick Miles both of Phenix City, AL; great-grandsons: Jamaar Spivery, Jaren Spivery and Amontae Spivery all of Phenix City, AL; beloved nieces:  Katie Lyles, Sadie Marshall, Betty Davis, Georgia Joseph, Beverly Lewis, Jeannie James, Jimmie Lewis, Christine Stringer, Connie Bishop, Renay James, Kelly Spivery, Wanda Moffett, Bertha Hicks, Lillie Marchany, Connie Peoples, Shirley Williams, Bertha Hall and Evelyn Spivery; beloved nephews:  Sammy James, Kenneth James, Curtis James, Victor James, Johnny Jacobs, Melvin Spivery, Wallace Lewis, Bobby Spivey Jr, John Spivery, Harry Spivery, Johnny Deloney, Henry Lee Deloney, Willie Deloney, Tyrone Deloney: a sister in law:  Lillie Spivery and a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and other relative and friends.
