Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nona Collins Doner, affectionately known as "Nona Mae" graced the world with her presence on December 10, 1940 in Union Springs, Alabama to the late William Robinson and Della Smith Collins. God called her Home on August 22, 2022 at her residence in Phenix City, Alabama. Nona Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Della Smith Collins; her husband, David Lee Doner; two daughters, Patricia Doner Webb and Marie Doner Manuel; her grandfather, Reverend Dudley Smith; her grandmother, Susie Smith; a grandson, Davilyn Doner and a granddaughter, Victoreya Flournoy.

Nona Mae attended school in the Macon County School District.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, was baptized on August 23, 2009 and joined the 16th Avenue Baptist church in Phenix City, Alabama under the direction of Pastor Howard Davis.  Nona Mae loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a hard-working lady; sometimes working two jobs to support her family. Nona Mae loved cooking, dancing and drinking. She joined a social club in the early 70's, The Soul Sister Social Club. She was a giver, always giving and caring for almost everyone she met.

Nona Mae leaves to cherish her memories two loving daughters,  Gloria Doner Williams (Her Caretaker) of Phenix City, Alabama and Endora Davis of Columbus, Georgia; two sisters, Ora Bell Miles of Twinsburg, Ohio  and Inell Goldsby of Cleveland, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 23 great great-grandchildren and a host of loving aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
