Graveside Service will be held 10:00 am EDT Friday, April 17, 2026 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. S. J. Brown was born July 31, 1963 in Atmore, Alabama to the late J. S. and Mae Fannie Brown.  He departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2026.

S. J. was educated in the schools in Atmore, Alabama and graduated from high school in 1981.  After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Military and proudly served more than twenty-years in the Army.

He was an easy-going, loving and thoughtful person.  He never met a stranger, and was a friend to all.  He was an avid "Roll Tide" fan!

In addition to his parents, S. J. was preceded in death by his sister, Brunetta Bradford.

S. J. leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings, Bonnie Bazemore-Mason, J. S. Brown, Jr. and Gregory Brown; several grandchildren; two close friends, Harold Grant and Donnie Goodine; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends.
