Mrs. Sarah Jean Van Buren Lipscomb was born January 15, 1939, in Phenix City, Alabama to the belated Mr s . Mildred Porch and Mr. Lawson Van Buren.

Mrs. Sarah Jean Van Buren bond ed in Holy Matrimony on February 19, 1955 to Mr. John L. L i pscomb, Sr.  Their union created six beautiful children. Mrs. Sarah Jean Van Buren Lipscomb transitioned from this life on June 10, 2021, at Columbus Hospice, Columbus, G eorgia .

Mrs. Sarah Jean Van Buren Lipscomb served as a faithful member of Allen Temple AME Church for more than 75 year s . Preceding her in death, her loving husband, Mr. John L . Lipscomb, Sr ., one daughte r, Mr s. Geraldine Lipscomb Perryman , two sister s - Ms. Justine Porch and Mrs. Delores Dell Davis , two nephews - Mr. Travis Terrell Porch and Mr. Michael Davis, Phenix City, Alabama.

Mrs. Sarah Jean Van Buren Lipscomb attended South Girard High School, Phenix City, Alabama. She was employed by Eagle and Phenix Mill in Columbus, Georgia, where she worked as a machine operator .  She is most remembered as a loving wife and mother raising six children , four grandchildren and one nephew.

She leaves to cherish her memor ies two daughters, Pamela (James) Cousins and Rethel Ma d dox , Phenix City Alabama ; three sons , John Lorand Lipscomb, Jr., Donell ( Arnetha ) Lipscomb, Phenix City, AL and Darwin Lee (Bridgett) Lipscomb, Seale , AL .
