Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Shaina Rucker was born on June 16, 1988 in Atlanta, GA to Melisha Rucker. She departed this life on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
She graduated from Benjamin Elijah Mays High School and studied nursing at Columbus State University in Georgia. On March 7, 2015, she gave birth to a son, Christian, and, the day before her passing, gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Ziphora.
Shaina had a love for cookies and naps and a passion for hair, nails, TV dramas, and true crime. She was also a lover of music and animals. Her hobby was puzzle portraits, which she enjoyed hanging in her home. She was known for her shyness, her loyalty, her sweetness, and her determination.
Shaina was preceded in death by two older brothers, Tariq and Derrick, two uncles, L.E. and Shermin, and her grandmother Mary.
She is survived by her son, Christian, and newborn daughter, Ziphora; her mother, Melisha; her sisters, Shannon, Dominique, Olivia, and Taylor; her brothers, Alex and Jabari; several cousins, and the fiercely dedicated loved ones of the Sampler and Dotson Family.
