Tracey Meshal Goode Wright was born on August 14, 1970, to Mrs. Fannie Mae and Mr. John Wesley Goode in Tuskegee, AL. She was the second born of three girls, and was proceeded in death by her baby sister Wendy. Losing Wendy at such a young age strengthened the bond she shared with her big sister, Barbara.
Tracey confessed Christ and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was baptized at Mt. Arrie Missionary Baptist Church in Hatchechubbee, AL, where she was very active and frequently reunited. Upon graduation from Alabama State University, Tracey relocated to Birmingham, AL and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pratt City. She was a faithful member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Women and Singles Sunday ministries. While living in Atlanta GA, Tracey worshiped with the Berean Christian Church, serving on the Ushers Ministry. She later relocated back to Birmingham, AL and became a beloved member of Trinity CME Church Uptown, where she faithfully served on Media Ministry.
Tracey was a graduate of Chavala High School, Seale, AL Class of 1988. She then matriculated to Alabama State University (ASU), Montgomery, AL, where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems in 1993. While at ASU, Tracey became a beloved member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Beta Pi Chapter. She remained an active member in the South Eastern Region.
Upon college graduation, Tracey enjoyed an amazing career in the Information Technology Industry, where she has been a dedicated employee with the IntelliTrans/Roper Technologies company for the past 13.5 years.
Affectionately Known as "Shell", the pride and joy of her life was her Sonshine Nicholas. They enjoyed their mother/son bonding and the countless football games, basketball games and other events they frequently attended. She seeded in him that All things are possible with God and to always believe in the Savior and himself. Tracey loved her extended family and her friends. Her laughter and jokes kept every gathering filled with joy. She believed in showing up to support her family and friends, even if she was the last to arrive. She shared an extraordinary bond with her sister, Barbara.
Tracey Transitioned into the Arms of the Lord on May 31, 2022. Now, she reunites in heaven with her parents, John and Fannie and sister, Wendy F. Goode.
She will continue to watch over the love of her life, her Son, Nicholas Alexander Wright of Calera, AL; Sister, Barbara (Jerry) Tate of Birmingham, Alabama; Nieces, Ashley and Morgan Tate of Birmingham, Alabama; Aunts, Irene William of Orlando, FL, Flora Simpson, West Palm Beach, FL, Annie Jean Long and Lula M Rogers of Hurtsboro, AL, Linda and Daisy Goode of Hatchechubbee, AL; Adopted Niece, Kimberly (Christen) Edwards of Madison, AL, and a host of cousins and friends.
