Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the chapel of Battle & Battle Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Walter Lee Marion Johnson was born April 13, 1949 in Russell County, Alabama to the late Julius and Rebecca Johnson. He departed this life on Monday, October 21,2024.

Walter was educated in the schools of Russell County, Alabama and retired from Field Crest Mills after several years of service. He was an avid baseball fan and especially loved the Atlanta Braves.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosie Marion.

Walter leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Archie (Nancy) Johnson and Eddie (Ida) Johnson, both of Ft. My-ers, Florida and Tracy (Yvonnie) Johnson of Hatchechubbee, Alabama; three sisters, Emma (Frank) Alfred of Seale, Alabama, Precious (Sam) Harris of Hanceville, Alabama and Shirley (Roger) Williams of Phenix City, Alabama; a special friend Vivian Satterwhite; and a host of other loved ones.
