After serving in the United States Army Reserve, his last place of employment was with the Phenix City Water Works.

Mr. Williams was predeceased by brother s , R.C. Williams, Henry C. Williams, Charlie B. Williams, sisters Ocie Pearl Williams , Lela Mae Williams and Bertha Lue Bellamy . He is survived by sister Willie Mae Caldwell West C ov i na, CA . A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
